Overview

SMELT ice melt pellets are designed for effective deicing, capable of working in temperatures as low as -25°F. Made from 100% calcium chloride, these pellets produce heat to quickly melt thick ice and snow on a variety of surfaces. SMELT is more efficient than salt alone, enhancing winter safety when mixed with salt and abrasives. It’s safe for use on concrete and vegetation if applied correctly, reducing freeze/thaw cycle damage to pavements and offering a reliable solution for ice-free environments during cold weather.

Directions For Use

Remove snow right after it falls to prevent compaction and ice formation. Combine SMELT with sand for less salt usage and better traction. Apply a light layer of this mix before and during a storm to help with shoveling. SMELT quickly turns ice into brine, reducing the freezing point and melting ice fast. Clear ice and snow from driveways and walkways without overusing. Dispose of any leftover mix properly and avoid throwing salty slush onto the lawn to protect vegetation.
