Overview
METAL SHINE 18 is a durable, high-gloss floor finish containing 18% metal solids, suitable for various hard surface floors across high traffic environments like schools and offices. It offers quick drying, excellent leveling, and covers up to 2500 square feet per gallon. This user-friendly finish is abrasion, scuff, and scratch-resistant, providing a “wet look” that can be achieved with buffing or burnishing. Additionally, it meets slip resistance standards, making it safe for use in public spaces. METAL SHINE 18 is versatile, effective on multiple flooring types including vinyl, rubber, concrete, and terrazzo, ensuring long-lasting protection and shine in demanding settings.
Directions For Use
- Preparation: Remove old finishes with Abernathy’s Strip or Ambush and ensure the floor is residue-free.
- Application: Initially, apply 4 to 6 thin, uniform coats, allowing for appropriate drying time.
- Drying: The product usually dries within 30 minutes, but some conditions may require longer.
- Buffing: Regular burnishing or buffing based on traffic levels enhances the finish, with high-speed methods preferred.
- Maintenance: Regular dust mopping and selective wet mopping are recommended. For upkeep, dilute at 1:2 ratio with water and apply with mop. Buff as needed.
- Reapplication: Strip and reapply the finish after 10 to 15 coats or when showing signs of wear.
